Battambang Province: Infrastructure Inspection in Veteran Villages, Land Distribution and Water Facilities to be Expanded
The Cambodian Association of Veterans and Retirees inspected the infrastructure development in veteran villages in Battambang Province. Plans were presented for the future distribution of 300 hectares of agricultural land to veterans, the construction of a large reservoir, and housing for approximately 30 families.
On the afternoon of July 14, 2026, His Excellency Dr. Kun Kim, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice President and Secretary General of the Association of Veterans and Retirees of Cambodia, inspected the progress of infrastructure development in the veteran and retiree villages in Chnal Mon and Doon Bar communes, Koa Krol district, Battambang province. On this occasion, His Excellency Kun Kim highly praised the efforts of the leadership of the provincial, district, and commune branches of the Association of Veterans and Retirees of Cambodia for their care and attention to the veterans and retirees living in the two villages. He stated that in conjunction with the infrastructure development of the villages, the Association is urging the relevant departments to expedite the demarcation of 300 hectares of agricultural land, which is being prepared for distribution to all veterans and retirees here. In addition, the Association will dig another pond with a width of 100 meters, a length of 200 meters, and a depth of 9 meters for the benefit of veterans and retirees and their families. For the veteran village in Doon Bar commune, His Excellency Kun Kim instructed the relevant departments to prepare a plan for social land concessions to build houses for approximately 30 families of veterans and retirees. On this occasion, His Excellency Kun Kim also requested the leadership of the provincial, municipal, district, and commune-section branches to push for and review the registration and assessment of housing applications throughout the province to ensure accuracy and correctness.
