Vietnam Sends Peacekeeping Hospital to South Sudan for Rotation

Vietnam is proceeding with the rotation of its Level-2 Field Hospital deployed to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). The 8th rotation, consisting of 63 medical personnel, will depart to replace the 7th rotation stationed in Bentiu, South Sudan. The 63 military personnel of the Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 8 comprise individuals from military regions, army corps, military hospitals, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, and other agencies and units. This unit will replace the Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 7 at the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) in Bentiu. This troop rotation signifies Vietnam's strong commitment to contributing to international peace and stability. Through its participation in UN peacekeeping operations, Vietnam has clearly demonstrated its dedication to fulfilling its international responsibilities. The 8th rotation comprises experienced medical professionals selected from various organizations, including military regions, army corps, military hospitals, and the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations. Under Vietnam's one-party system, such international contributions are also seen as a means to enhance national prestige and strengthen diplomatic influence.
