It has been learned that Vice President U Nyo So, who is visiting Nanning City, China, met with the Mayor of Guangzhou. Vice President U Nyo So, who is visiting Nanning City, People's Republic of China, arrived in Guangzhou City on the afternoon of September 19th with Union Minister U Tun Ohn and delegation members, and met with Mr. Sun Zhiyang, the Mayor of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It has been learned that they exchanged views and discussed matters concerning bilateral relations, cooperation, and the promotion of maritime trade. Furthermore, on the morning of September 18th, the Vice President, along with delegation members, visited the Madao confluence of the Pinglu Canal, which directly connects the sea to the river for the passage and navigation of cargo ships in Qinzhou City. Local party and officials of Qinzhou welcomed them and explained the progress of the Pinglu Canal project, the benefits obtained, and the status of ships that can be allowed to pass. After that, the Vice President visited and studied the automated container terminal and berths using artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Qinzhou City. Local authorities and port officials explained the status of domestic and foreign ship arrivals and departures, the status of cargo handling using (AI) technology, and regional connectivity through innovations in cutting-edge technologies, including digital technologies, and advanced technologies. In the evening of September 17th, the Vice President, along with delegation members, met with Mr. Wei Dong, the Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the Liuzhou International Conference Center, and discussed matters concerning strengthening bilateral relations, promoting bilateral cooperation, accelerating bilateral trade cooperation, and promoting the implementation of the Guangxi and Silk Road Economic Belt initiatives and the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor.
