Cambodia Seeks Stronger Economic Ties with Korea-ASEAN Forum

Cambodia's Ambassador to South Korea met with Dr. PARK Sang Won, President of the Korea-ASEAN Forum (KAFA), at the Cambodian Embassy in Seoul to discuss cooperation in strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations. During the meeting, Dr. PARK briefed the Ambassador on KAFA's mission to build networks among business people and experts from Korea and ASEAN countries through cooperation in various fields such as economy, society, culture, education, science, and technology. Dr. PARK stated that he has good intentions towards Cambodia and has implemented numerous projects in the country, including organizing business seminars, dispatching medical volunteers, and educational development projects. He added that the association is also studying a project to build a hospital in Phnom Penh. Ambassador Koun Phonratana expressed gratitude to Dr. PARK for his good cooperation with the Cambodian side in achieving various accomplishments in the country. The Ambassador expressed hope that Dr. PARK will continue to further promote the strengthening of bilateral relations in the economic and trade sectors by helping to mobilize Korean business people and entrepreneurs to invest and conduct business in Cambodia.
