Construction Deputy Minister instructs to carry out necessary repairs and maintenance for smooth travel on the Phalam - Hakha road section damaged by terrorist incidents

The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Construction, U Myo Myint, instructed that necessary repairs and maintenance be carried out to ensure smooth travel on the Phalam-Hakha road section, which was damaged by terrorist incidents. Deputy Minister U Myo Myint of the Ministry of Construction, accompanied by members of the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee in Chin State and relevant officials, departed from Phalam Township by motor vehicle on July 4th to inspect the conditions of the Phalam-Hakha road section. Subsequently, a coordination meeting was held at the meeting hall of the Chin State Government Office in Hakha Township to carry out reconstruction and rehabilitation tasks within Chin State, it was learned. After inspecting the conditions of the Phalam-Hakha road section, the Deputy Minister and his delegation instructed that necessary repairs and maintenance be carried out to ensure smooth travel for the public on the roads and bridges damaged by terrorist incidents, that directional signs be installed according to prescribed specifications, that culverts be constructed in necessary locations, that measures be taken to prevent water accumulation and ensure good water flow during the rainy season, and that responsible officials at all levels work proactively and with diligence to prevent road blockages due to landslides during the monsoon season, and that the planned tasks be completed on time. Continuing on, the Deputy Minister and his delegation arrived in Hakha Township, where a coordination meeting was held at the meeting hall of the Chin State Government Office for reconstruction and rehabilitation tasks within Chin State. The Deputy Minister stated that the purpose of the meeting was to cooperate in reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts and that everyone needs to work together in their respective roles. He also mentioned that during his visits to Tiddim Township, Thantlang Township, and Phalam Township with members of the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee in Chin State, efforts are underway to prioritize the repair of public hospitals, basic education schools, government office buildings, furniture, equipment, and citizens' buildings that were damaged by terrorist incidents, according to the type of damage. Furthermore, he stated that relief and support materials provided by the state are being distributed to the public and government employees, and that the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committees at the state, district, and township levels need to supervise and implement tasks in their respective sectors. Following this, members of the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee in Chin State, members of the state, district, and township level working committees, and responsible officials presented the status of the reconstruction and rehabilitation tasks within Chin State in their respective sectors. Ministers of the Chin State Government, the Chairman and Secretary of the Chin State Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee, provided supplementary discussions and presentations. The Deputy Minister coordinated and provided guidance on the presentations, emphasizing the need to implement reconstruction and rehabilitation tasks through collective effort. He also stated that regional stability and peace are paramount for regional development, and that religious leaders, community elders, and responsible officials must continuously strive for regional stability, peace, and development.
