Stueng District Governor Sai Kimlom has strongly urged local authorities to prioritize support for people with disabilities and vulnerable families, aiming to improve their living standards and promote social equity. During a meeting in Krasang village, Trea commune, Stueng district, Kampong Thom province, on June 29th, the district governor instructed all levels of local authorities to continue paying close attention to and resolving difficulties faced by people with disabilities and vulnerable families in the community. He emphasized that these groups require ongoing support, both mentally and in terms of services and daily life. As local authorities are closest to the people, they must conduct direct inspections and assessments to accurately grasp the situation of each family, provide timely assistance, coordinate social protection services, and ensure transparent access to government policies and equity cards. He particularly stressed the importance of increasing encouragement, eliminating discrimination, and providing equal opportunities within the community. Governor Kimlom stated, "Contributing to the rescue and improvement of the lives of people with disabilities and vulnerable families is not only a core duty of the authorities but also an indispensable and noble humanitarian act." As part of this initiative, five families comprising individuals with disabilities and vulnerable households received one bag of rice each, instant noodles, and other food items.
