Kampong Cham Provincial Leaders Attend Funeral of Kampong Siem District Council Chairman

Kampong Cham provincial leaders on the afternoon of July 27, 2026, attended the funeral to pay their respects to the remains of Mr. Meng Hieng, Chairman of the Kampong Siem District Council. The delegation, led by H.E. Khlot Phon, Chairman of the Kampong Cham Provincial Council, and H.E. Un Chan Da, Governor of Kampong Cham Province, offered condolences and paid homage to the deceased, who passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 72 due to illness. On this most sorrowful occasion, the provincial leadership of Kampong Cham expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the loss of Mr. Meng Hieng. He was deeply cherished by his wife, children, grandchildren, and family as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, characterized by profound love and benevolence. He was also a responsible and exemplary figure who raised his children with great care and virtue. Furthermore, his passing represents the loss of an experienced official and leader who contributed significantly to local governance and to the construction and development of the nation and homeland throughout his life. As a final farewell, the leadership and colleagues of Kampong Cham Province joined hands in prayer, wishing for the soul of Mr. Meng Hieng to find rebirth in a blissful realm.
