Traffic flow in Yangon city increases after cancellation of 'Swin/Ma' system

After the cancellation of the 'Swin/Ma' system, traffic flow in Yangon city was observed to have returned to normal and increased on September 10. On September 10 (today), although only 'Swin' numbered vehicles would have been allowed to travel if the 'Swin/Ma' system had not been cancelled, a large number of 'Ma' numbered vehicles are also traveling due to the cancellation of the 'Swin/Ma' system, and traffic flow has returned to being busy as it was before the 'Swin/Ma' system existed. "Since the system was abolished, there are more cars on the road than in previous days," said a taxi driver in Yangon city. The 'Swin/Ma' system, which differentiated and regulated the driving of motor vehicles, was reinstated and then cancelled starting from September 9.
