Cambodia Awards Electric Motorcycles to Top High School Graduates to Foster Academic Excellence

In Ta Khmau City, Kandal Province, Cambodia, 48 students who achieved the highest grade (Grade A) in their high school exit examination held on August 10, 2026, were presented with electric motorcycles. The award ceremony took place on September 19, 2026, with Kandal Provincial Governor Mr. Kuoch Chamroeun presiding over the event. Governor Kuoch Chamroeun expressed his delight and warm congratulations to the students for their diligent efforts, stating that their success is a source of pride not only for themselves but also for their parents, guardians, teachers, schools, and the entire Kandal Province. He also commended the efforts of the school administration, teachers, parents, and guardians who contributed to creating a conducive learning environment. He encouraged the students to build upon this achievement and continue their studies at the higher education level, emphasizing that human resources with knowledge, skills, and good morals are essential for the development of the nation. The Governor highlighted that a well-educated and skilled populace strengthens the country's competitiveness regionally and globally. He urged the students to set clear life goals, choose fields of study that align with their passions and abilities, and engage in continuous self-study to prepare for the job market. Kandal Province achieved outstanding results nationwide, with 186 students obtaining Grade A, ranking second only to Phnom Penh Capital. The Governor also extended his gratitude to philanthropists, business figures, and the Kandal Provincial Working Group of the Royal Government for their past support, both moral and material, to the students and teachers. He specifically requested parents and guardians to continue encouraging and supporting their children's higher education, as human resource development is a crucial foundation for the economic and social progress of the nation.
