Cambodian Prime Minister Attends Graduation Ceremony and Inaugurates New Academic Building of Royal University of Law and Economics

On August 6, 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet attended the graduation ceremony and inaugurated a new academic building at the Royal University of Law and Economics. The ceremony was held at the Congress and Exhibition Center, Diamond Island. A total of 4,001 students received their degrees at this graduation ceremony. This included 3,278 students from undergraduate programs and 723 students from postgraduate programs. Of the students awarded degrees, 2,103 were female. According to a report from the Royal University of Law and Economics, the employment rate among the graduating students who received degrees reached 92.7%. Specifically, surveys revealed that 91.70% of undergraduate graduates and 97.23% of postgraduate graduates found employment after graduation. The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, university leadership, and a large number of students and their parents. This high employment rate underscores the significant role of the university in nurturing talent to support Cambodia's economic growth. The Royal University of Law and Economics provides advanced education in law and economics, and its graduates are expected to be professionals equipped with essential knowledge and skills for national development.
