A couple was found unconscious and seriously injured following a violent confrontation at the Pin Thong Massage Shop in Plutaluang, Sattahip, on July 8. Rescue teams and an ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found a 47-year-old female massage worker, Phayao Khwanju, and her 57-year-old husband, Chalad Khwanju, lying unconscious on the floor of the ground-floor shop. The area was reportedly wet, with a bottle of purple toilet cleaning liquid found nearby. Rescuers also discovered an electrical hazard in the area and had to ensure the scene was safe before providing assistance. Both victims were given emergency treatment before being transported to the emergency department at Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital. A witness, identified as 41-year-old Paituan Wongnee, told police that she had been contacted by the shop owner, who was away in another province, after CCTV footage captured the incident. According to the witness, the husband had travelled from another province to meet his wife, who worked at the massage shop. The couple then became involved in a serious argument that escalated into violence. The witness told authorities that she saw the man consume toilet cleaning liquid before allegedly attacking his wife. She said the incident also involved an electrical hazard after a fan cable was damaged, creating a dangerous situation inside the wet area of the shop. The witness said she attempted to intervene but was unable to safely approach at first after experiencing an electric shock while trying to enter the area. She then sought help from neighbors to cut the power supply before the couple could be reached. By the time help arrived, both victims were unconscious. Rescue workers were immediately called to provide medical assistance. The exact cause of the dispute remains unclear. Pol. Lt. Col. Pornchai Lueaphon, deputy investigation inspector at Plutaluang Police Station, said officers had recorded evidence, taken photographs, and collected CCTV footage as part of the investigation. Police said they will wait until the injured couple are medically stable before questioning them to establish the facts. Any charges will be considered based on evidence gathered during the investigation.
