Vietnam Honors Outstanding Works in Civil Judgment Enforcement Journalism Contest

The Directorate for Civil Judgment Enforcement under the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with Vietnam Law Newspaper, held the awards ceremony for the second "Civil Judgment Enforcement Profession Stories" contest on July 15. The event commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Civil Judgment Enforcement sector. Out of nearly 500 entries from across the country, 36 outstanding works were honored. These submissions were recognized for their in-depth portrayal of the challenges and achievements of civil judgment enforcement officers. Vietnam News Agency (Nhan Dan) received a B prize for a two-part series titled "Civil Judgment Enforcement Sector Overcomes Difficulties, Creates Breakthrough Footprints" by Le Thi Thu Hang from Nhan Dan Online. Thanh Huong from the Politics-Diplomacy Department also won a C prize for a two-part series, "A Turning Point in the Work of Recovering Assets from Corruption and Economic Crimes." Nguyen Thang Loi, Director of the Directorate for Civil Judgment Enforcement, highlighted the contest's role in celebrating the sector's anniversary and building on the success of its inaugural edition. He noted that many entries offered fresh perspectives, authentically reflecting the unique aspects of civil judgment enforcement, from large-scale economic and corruption cases to more common civil, family, and property disputes. These works aim to provide readers with a clearer understanding of the difficulties and pressures faced by enforcement officers. Minister of Justice Hoang Thanh Tung congratulated the journalists, media agencies, authors, and organizations involved. He emphasized the critical role of civil judgment enforcement as the final stage in ensuring the execution of court judgments and decisions, vital for the construction of a socialist law-governed state. Minister Tung acknowledged the increasing volume and complexity of cases, placing immense professional and personal pressure on enforcement officers, who often face challenging and even dangerous situations. He underscored their commitment to upholding the law and their responsibility to the Party, State, and people. The contest saw broad participation from journalists, civil judgment enforcement officials, collaborators, and readers nationwide. The organizing committee rigorously selected 36 high-quality works, including one Special Prize, two A Prizes, three B Prizes, five C Prizes, fifteen Consolation Prizes, six Impression Prizes, and four Thematic Prizes. The Directorate for Civil Judgment Enforcement also announced the launch of the third "Civil Judgment Enforcement Profession Stories" contest.
