Bank Jakarta's market trader financing program is significantly boosting businesses for traders at the Kramat Jati Market in East Jakarta, with profits reportedly increasing up to fourfold. The initiative aims to provide working capital certainty for business continuity and growth. Rosmani Sitohang, a red onion trader who has been in business since 2015, stated that the financing of Rp. 108 million from Bank Jakarta has enabled his business turnover to increase significantly, with profits now reaching up to four times higher. "This market trader financing program is very helpful for developing my business. The advantage is now it can be up to four times," Rosmani said, expressing hope that the program will continue and reach more traders. Grocery trader Ika Tiara also shared a similar positive experience. She has received financing facilities from Bank Jakarta, including an initial Rp. 500 million and a subsequent Rp. 400 million. A portion of these funds was allocated to long-term kiosk rental payments, securing her business's sustainability for the next 20 years. During an event at the Kramat Jati Market, the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, witnessed the signing of a mass credit agreement between Bank Jakarta and 100 traders. The financing is offered through the People's Business Credit (KUR) and Non-KUR schemes, with a ceiling of up to IDR 500 million. Rano Karno emphasized the importance of expanding financing access for traders at the wholesale market to ensure working capital certainty and business continuity. He noted that prior to this mass agreement, Bank Jakarta had already disbursed financing totaling approximately Rp. 48 billion to 167 traders at the Kramat Jati Market. While acknowledging the positive impact, Rano Karno pointed out that the current recipients represent only a small fraction of the over 5,000 business actors operating in the market. He encouraged more traders to leverage formal financing channels for business development. However, he also stressed the importance of traders possessing financial management skills to ensure sustained business growth, suggesting ongoing dialogue between the bank and traders for mutual support.
