Social Security : Visiting the SSB Office and Pharmacy Depot

Union Minister for Labour U Khin Maung Soe visited the Office of Social Security Board in Kamayut Township in Yangon Region on Saturday to oversee the work processes of the office and its clinic. He also met with the staff and urged all to strive for providing reliable services for the employers and insured workers. They later proceeded to the Pharmacy Depot in Ahlone Township, and viewed the systematic storage of medicines and maintenance of its building. Yangon Region has one Regional Office of Social Security Board, two District Offices, and 15 Township Offices. Under the 2012 Social Security Law, these offices provide services for registration of insured work placed and workers along with the disbursement of compensation. From April to June 2026, over 2.8 billion kyat have already compensated to the insured workers.
