This is also the 7th time we have collaborated with the Mingala Byuha Association for a donation event." The Mingala Byuha Association has been organizing blood donation drives since 1980. Up to the 184th event, a total of (56,729) blood units have been successfully donated to the National Blood Center under the Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Health. U Aung Myo Min, Vice Chairman, Mingala Byuha Association said "I have been donating blood since 1977 and have donated a total of 86 times. I have also continued to help organize blood donation drives in cooperation with the Mingala Byuha Headquarters, as well as with other organizations. In recognition of these efforts, the Government honored me with the Social Excellence Award (Second Class) on Independence Day in 2025." Khin Myat Tha Zin (Blood Donor), Shwepyitha Township said "This is my very first time donating blood. I really wanted to donate because I know there are people who lose their lives due to a shortage of blood. I chose to donate with the mindset that if my blood can help someone recover, that is what matters most." To help provide nutritious refreshments and commemorative gifts for the blood donors, cash and in-kind donations are warmly welcomed and can be contributed to the Mingala Byuha Association according to contributors’ capabilities, it’s learnt.
