Police Hunt for Perpetrator Who Abandoned Infant in Train Toilet
Police in Indonesia are investigating the abandonment of an infant discovered in a toilet aboard the Sancaka train traveling from Yogyakarta to Surabaya. The baby is currently receiving intensive care.
Police are actively investigating to identify the individual responsible for abandoning an infant in the toilet of the Sancaka train, route Jogja-Surabaya. The baby is currently under medical care at RS Bhayangkara Solo. According to detikJateng, Kapolsek Banjarsari Kompol Harno stated that his personnel, along with the Polresta Solo Satreskrim and Unit Reskrim Polsek Banjarsari, are conducting a series of investigations. These include crime scene processing, witness examinations, evidence collection, CCTV footage review, and coordination with PT KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta to uncover the perpetrator. The infant was discovered by train staff around 07:20 AM WIB while the Sancaka train was en route to Surabaya. For safety and health reasons, the baby was evacuated when the train stopped at Solo Balapan Station. "To ensure the safety and health of the baby, the infant is currently receiving intensive care at RS Bhayangkara Solo," Harno said in a written statement. Police are urging the public to report any information or clues that could help identify the person who left the baby alone in the train toilet.
