Cambodia Reinforces Rice Industry Value Chain: ARDB Inspects Prey Veng Province

Kao Thach, Director General of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), accompanied by senior officials and leaders of the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), inspected three rice mills in Svay Antor district, Prey Veng province on September 5, 2026. The visit aimed to monitor activities and promote the efficiency and sustainability of the business chain of these rice mills. The delegation visited the Chhit Bunthorn Rice Mill in Krachab 3 village, Prey Khla commune, Svay Antor district; the Ros Neng Rice Mill; and the Chun Thom Rice Mill, both located in Svay Antor village, Svay Antor commune, Svay Antor district, Prey Veng province. These facilities are involved in significant activities ranging from stocking, milling and processing, packaging, to distributing rice to domestic markets and for export. Furthermore, the inspection provided a basis for a clearer understanding of the needs and operational status of enterprises within the agricultural supply chain, which have direct connections with farmers and the Cambodian agricultural product market on the global stage. Beyond inspecting rice mills, the delegation led by HE Dr. Kao Thach also visited the farming activities and seedling nursery (Acacia trees) and wood processing of Kampong Cham Wood Co., Ltd., located in Suong Lech village, Suong commune, Suong city, Kampong Cham province. This is part of activities related to the development of the agricultural sector and natural resources. At the occasion, company representatives informed the delegation that the company is currently cultivating 1,500 seedlings in the initial trial phase on an area of 8 hectares.
