Chindwin River water level exceeds warning level in Homalin

Therefore, residents living near the riverbanks and in low-lying areas within Homalin Township have been alerted to evacuate to safer locations. Furthermore, due to the possibility of strengthening monsoons over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, and atmospheric instability in the Bay of Bengal, heavy thunderstorms are expected to occur in many regions and states, including Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon Region, from the morning of July 22 to July 30, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.
