Vietnam Focuses on Recovering and Identifying Fallen Soldiers' Remains

A 500-day campaign to recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers is underway across Vietnam. The work, which began on July 9, is being carried out by military and medical personnel following strict technical procedures. The process includes exhumation, biological sample collection, sealing and preservation of samples, documentation, and digitalization of all relevant information. Each sample is carefully verified and catalogued, while excavation sites are accurately marked. This is more than just a search mission; it is a race against time to identify those who remain unknown through DNA technology. The campaign involves collaboration between central agencies, local authorities, organizations, and citizens, all working together to pay tribute to the nation's fallen heroes and their families, aiming for a successful conclusion.
