Sara Duterte's secret funds: Same-day receipts issued across 300 sites

Acknowledgement receipts (AR) backing Vice President Sara Duterte’s confidential fund (CF) spending showed that some were issued on the same day across 300 locations nationwide, Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong said on Sunday. In a statement, Alonto Adiong said the same-day receipts added further scrutiny to her use of the confidential fund. This revelation raises concerns about the transparency and accountability in the utilization of the Vice President's confidential funds in the Philippines. While confidential funds are often exempted from detailed expenditure reports due to their sensitive nature, their use of public money always demands scrutiny.
