Foreign Trade University Graduates Over 1,700 Students in Second Ceremony

On September 20, at Hanoi, Foreign Trade University organized the second graduation ceremony in 2026 for over 1,700 students from the 61st cohort and supplementary classes of the full-time university program. The ceremony was held for students studying at the main campus in Hanoi and the Quang Ninh campus. Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Foreign Trade University, congratulated the new graduates and expressed her expectations for the generation of students about to embark on a new journey. According to the President, in addition to professional competence, leadership, adaptability, and innovation, each individual needs to continue cultivating "the ability to create trust," becoming a reliable person for colleagues, friends, and those around them. This is a solid foundation for each individual to seize opportunities and go further in their career path. Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong also recalled the special imprints of the 61st cohort – a generation that entered university just as the Covid-19 pandemic was subsiding and accompanied the university in experimenting with many new educational models such as co-teaching, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, international "campus-in-campus" cooperation, and the CDIM training model linked to international career development. At the ceremony, Foreign Trade University announced the decision to recognize the graduation of over 1,700 students graduating this term. Approximately 25% of the graduating students achieved "Excellent" grades. The university also awarded Certificates of Merit to 33 valedictorians and 16 outstanding graduates of the entire 61st cohort. The honored students not only achieved outstanding academic results but also demonstrated proactive and responsible spirits, actively participating in scientific research, student activities, community service, and other activities during their studies. Representing the new graduates, Nguyen Thanh Binh, valedictorian of the Advanced Program in Economics, Class 61, with a GPA of 3.98/4.0, shared his impressions during his four years of study, experience, and growth at Foreign Trade University. From these experiences, Nguyen Thanh Binh conveyed a message to his classmates: "Let's do something meaningful," and expressed his hope that the generation of Foreign Trade University students will dare to step out into the world while remembering where they started and proactively creating positive values for the community. A swearing-in ceremony for the new graduates was also held, signifying their commitment to continue upholding the values formed and nurtured during their years of study at the university; to continuously learn, improve themselves, and contribute positively to the community and society. With over 66 years of construction and development, Foreign Trade University is committed to continuing to innovate its training activities, scientific research, and practical cooperation, aiming to develop into an innovative university with a strong position in the region and Asia.
