China Provides Aid to Flood Victims in Cambodia's Tbong Khmum Province
China has delivered aid to 300 flood-affected families in Cambodia's Tbong Khmum Province. The Chinese Ambassador and the Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Disaster Management were present to distribute the supplies, highlighting the strong bilateral friendship. The assistance also aims to bolster Cambodia's disaster response capabilities.
On September 10, 2026, H.E. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cambodia, and H.E. Kim Virak, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), facilitated and cooperated with the administration of Tbong Khmum Province in distributing aid from the People's Republic of China to 300 flood-affected families in Tonle Bet commune, Tbong Khmum district, Tbong Khmum province. The aid packages provided to the 300 affected families included 10 kilograms of rice, soy sauce, fish sauce, instant noodles, water containers, dish soap, laundry soap, and buckets, along with other essential items. In addition to the aid packages for affected families, this assistance also includes the provision of rescue materials and disaster response preparedness materials to the administration of Tbong Khmum Province. These items comprise two motor rescue boats, two portable toilets, 500 life jackets, 125 communication radios, and 500 tents. This activity demonstrates the attention of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the wise and capable leadership of Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and also reflects the strong bond of friendship, cooperation, and solidarity between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the People's Republic of China in jointly contributing to the rescue and alleviation of difficulties for citizens affected by floods.
