Philippines Suspends Special Green Energy Auction for Waste-to-Energy

The Philippines' Department of Energy (DoE) has suspended all activities related to a special green energy auction (GEA) for waste-to-energy (WTE) with a capacity of 230 MW, without stating a reason. This follows the Energy Regulatory Commission's (ERC) upward revision of the green energy auction reserve (GEAR) price for WTE to P9.2959 per kilowatt-hour.
