Da Nang to Develop New Economic Foundation by Utilizing Low-Altitude Airspace

Da Nang City in central Vietnam has launched a strategic "Pilot Project for the Development of Low-Altitude Economic Space" that goes beyond mere logistics and rescue operations, aiming to develop the low-altitude airspace utilization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as a new economic and technical infrastructure. This initiative signifies the city's ambition to position low-altitude airspace as a new frontier for economic development and to maximize its potential. Initially, the application of UAV technology was envisioned for delivery and rescue services. However, this new project aims to comprehensively consider the entire low-altitude airspace and build a new foundation for economic activities. Specifically, while centering on the development of UAV technology, it also considers applications in various fields such as related infrastructure development, legal and regulatory frameworks, and the protection of marine and coastal areas. Through this, Da Nang City plans to accelerate economic growth and achieve sustainable development by leveraging innovative technologies. This project demonstrates new possibilities for technological innovation and economic development in Vietnam, and its future developments are highly anticipated.
