Yangon Region says it has succeeded in controlling severe diarrhea disease

It has been learned from the Public Health and Treatment Department of Yangon Region that the severe diarrhea disease that occurred in Yangon Region has been controlled. The severe diarrhea disease began to spread in Yangon Region on August 10, and preventive and treatment activities were carried out. It is reported that due to the on-site response teams and RRT (Rapid Response Team) conducting on-site treatment, the diarrhea disease has now been controlled. Health workers, upon identifying the outbreak and patients on the ground, visit the patients' homes and administer preventive vaccines and disinfectants to all cohabitants simultaneously, it is said. Currently, patients with diarrhea disease occurring in Yangon Region are being admitted and treated in public and private hospitals. According to the records of patients admitted to Yangon General Hospital for severe diarrhea disease, there are 182 patients, 93 positive cases, and 11 discharged patients, and it is also learned that the number of inpatients has now decreased.
