Renovation of Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) Completed 100 Percent

The large-scale renovation of the Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon), located in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, which preserves its original style, has been completed 100 percent, according to the National Museum (Yangon). The renovation work began in November 2025 and was carried out with the aim of a special exhibition to commemorate the 79th Martyrs' Day, which falls on July 19, 2026. During the renovation, the building housing the motor vehicle used by Bogyoke Aung San within the museum was renovated, the pond was renovated, the retaining wall was repaired, the floor and wall areas were repaired with Epoxy Mortar, and the museum roof, the museum's ceiling, stairs, teak walls, teak floors, verandas, and teak doors and windows were renovated. In addition, the furnishings used by Bogyoke Aung San during his residence have been restored to their original state, and areas that were previously inaccessible have been repaired to ensure their structural integrity. The large-scale renovation of the Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) was systematically carried out by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Construction, preserving the original craftsmanship, and was jointly undertaken by the Federation of Myanmar Engineers and the Myanmar Council of Architects.
