
Indonesian Independence Day: Around 8,000 Inmates Granted Remission, Corruption Convicts Eligible
Approximately 8,000 inmates in Indonesia have been granted remission on the occasion of the 81st Indonesian Independence Day. The Minister of Law and Human Rights stated that even corruption convicts are eligible for remission if they meet legal provisions. The remission period ranges from one to two months, based on participation in rehabilitation programs.
