Quang Ngai Province Awards Scholarships to Support Youth Dreams: VND 725 Million for Needy Students

In Quang Ngai Province, central Vietnam, the 12th "Lighting Up Dreams" scholarship program was held on September 12. This event was jointly organized by the Quang Ngai Provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Quang Ngai Radio and Television Broadcasting, and the "Lighting Up Dreams" Scholarship Fund. During this program, scholarships totaling VND 725 million (approximately USD 30,000) were awarded to students and university students facing economic hardships. The initiative aims to support young individuals who are motivated to learn but struggle to pursue higher education or continue their studies due to financial constraints, thereby broadening their future prospects. This scholarship program is positioned as part of the youth support activities led by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Previously, the Central Committee has undertaken similar support initiatives across the country, including the establishment of "Computer Rooms for Children" in the border province of Dong Thap, the awarding of 622 scholarships in Vinh Long Province, and the "Foster Children of Border Guards" scholarship by the border guards in Dong Thap. This initiative in Quang Ngai Province reflects the government's stance on equalizing educational opportunities and poverty reduction as part of social welfare policies under Vietnam's one-party system. Amidst Vietnam's continued economic growth, such support is considered an essential element for rectifying regional disparities and nurturing the young generation who will lead the future. Furthermore, it holds significant importance in promoting domestic stability and integrating youth into society, especially as relations with China remain complex.
