Myanmar to compile history of basic education

The Ministry of Education will compile the historical situation of basic education in Myanmar, said Union Minister Dr. Cho Cho Sein. The Union Minister made this statement at the coordination meeting for the compilation of Myanmar's basic education history, held on August 3 at the meeting hall of Ministry of Education Office No. 13 in Nay Pyi Taw. The Ministry of Education stated that it will compile the historical situation of education during the feudal era, the changes in the education system during the colonial era, and the situation of education in Myanmar after independence. The Union Minister also said that he hopes all historians, senior teachers, teachers, and professors will unite and cooperate in the compilation of Myanmar's basic education history. It is also reported that the Union Minister discussed and gave instructions on the necessary matters regarding the proposals and discussions from the historians, senior teachers, university history department teachers, and attendees at the meeting.
