Kampong Thom Governor Visits Elderly in Prasat Sambor District, Distributes Aid
The governor of Prasat Sambor district in Kampong Thom province, Cambodia, visited five elderly households, distributing food and cash. He conveyed a message from the provincial governor, emphasizing continued support for residents' livelihoods.
On the morning of July 8, 2026, Mr. Khim Sokheang, Governor of Prasat Sambor District, Kampong Thom Province, led a working group and local authorities to visit five elderly households in T’uk Andong Village, Chhuk Commune, Prasat Sambor District. The visit aimed to check on their well-being and distribute aid. During the occasion, the district governor conveyed the regards of His Excellency Noun Pharat, Governor of Kampong Province. He stated that the provincial leadership consistently pays close attention to the well-being and living conditions of residents in local areas, especially the elderly, disabled, and vulnerable families, ensuring no one suffers from hunger. Furthermore, the district governor instructed the village and commune authorities to continue monitoring and facilitating the health and daily lives of all elderly residents with diligence. He and his team also provided essential food supplies and a sum of money to the five elderly families to help address their immediate needs. This humanitarian gesture deeply moved the elderly recipients and their families, who expressed their profound gratitude to the district governor and the provincial leadership for their warmth and unwavering support during difficult times.
