The protest-action began early Tuesday morning, mounted by the INC in support of Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, who faces an impending plunder case in connection with a P75-million donation right before his 2025 senatorial bid. The Tuesday rally crippled Edsa-White Plains during the morning rush hour as only one northbound lane on Edsa was passable and traffic was slow-moving on all Edsa southbound lanes.
