Pauk Township PDF Drone Unit Awarded 1 Billion Kyats and Certificates for Destroying SAC Mi-17 Helicopter

The National Unity Government (NUG) and the Interim Magway Federal Unit Government have jointly awarded 1 billion kyats (10,000,000,000 kyats) and certificates to the members of the Pauk Township People's Defence Force (PDF) drone unit, who successfully attacked and destroyed a Myanmar military's Mi-17 military helicopter with FPV suicide drones on the afternoon of June 23rd, as it was arriving to transport weapons and ammunition to Twinma Pyu Saw Htee village in Myay town, Magway Region. It is reported that the attack on the Mi-17 military helicopter resulted in casualties on the military's side, greatly aiding the revolution and boosting the morale of the public. The award ceremony was held yesterday, September 20th, and recognized seven members of the Pauk Township PDF drone unit, led by unit commander Ko Chan, including Comrade Khun Naung (Pauk PDF, Drone Unit), Comrade Lisa (Pauk PDF, Drone Unit), Comrade A The Lay (MGY PDF), Comrade Dawng Min (Minbu District No. 4 Battalion), Comrade A Soe Toe (Anya Fighter Local Group, Myay), and Comrade Fatty Lay (Bo Saga Camouflage Force, Township 5 PDF). Attendees at the ceremony included NUG Acting President Duwa La Shi La, Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than and responsible officials, Interim Magway Federal Unit Government Prime Minister Dr. Ye Tun Zaw, Deputy Prime Minister U Chit Win Maung, Union Ministers Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, U Ye Mon, and the awarded comrades. During the ceremony, NUG Acting President Duwa La Shi La delivered an opening address, and unit leader Ko Chan presented the status of the drone operation. Following this, Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than presented the 1 billion kyat prize money, and Interim Magway Federal Unit Government Prime Minister Dr. Ye Tun Zaw presented the certificates. Representing the awarded comrades, Pauk Township People's Defence Force leader Comrade Nakhat delivered a speech of gratitude. A joint congratulatory message from the NUG and the Interim Magway Federal Unit Government stated that the Myanmar military's helicopter was attacked through the combined efforts of the NUG Ministry of Defence, the People's Defence Force, People's Defence Force members, Magway Federal Unit Defence Force members, and allied revolutionary organizations, and that they will continue to accelerate offensives against military central command posts until the military dictatorship is eradicated.
