Doctors Warn Elderly Against 5 Popular Foods Damaging Liver and Kidneys

Vietnamese doctors have issued a warning to the elderly about five popular foods – plain congee, bone broth, dried shredded meat (rou), sauces, and pickled vegetables – that can severely damage the liver and kidneys. These foods can be high in glycemic index, fat, phosphorus, sodium, and may even contain carcinogens, posing significant health risks.
