Vietnam-Cambodia Relations: A Precious Shared Asset to Preserve and Nurture for Future Generations

Vietnamese and Cambodian scholars share a common understanding that the long-standing friendship between the two countries possesses deep historical foundations, built through the efforts and sacrifices of many generations. This relationship is considered a precious shared asset for both nations, which must be preserved, nurtured, and passed on to future generations. In the context of this friendship, Vietnam celebrated the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's National Day in Cambodia. Furthermore, Cambodia hosted a series of specialized exhibitions to promote its growth potential, aiming to strengthen economic ties. A groundbreaking ceremony for a friendship project, symbolizing the solidarity between the Vietnam People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, was also held. This signifies a deepening cooperation in the military sector. Additionally, the 8th conference of border province courts of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos took place, advancing efforts towards legal cooperation and stabilization in the region. These events suggest that Vietnam and Cambodia are deepening cooperation across various fields, including economy, military, and legal systems, based on their historical friendship, with the aim of transmitting this relationship to the next generation.
