President U Min Aung Hlaing and delegation visited VinFast and Viettel in Viet Nam on Friday, as part of his official visit to the country. The President and traveled from Hanoi to Hai Phong to visit VinFast’s automobile manufacturing plant. VinFast officials briefed the Myanmar delegation on the company’s history, vehicle and electric motorcycle production, domestic and international markets, and the use of modern automation and robotics. The President expressed interest in possible cooperation between Myanmar and VinFast. The delegation later toured the factory and observed vehicle production processes, including metal forming, body assembly, painting and final assembly. The delegation then proceeded to Viettel Group, where officials briefed on the company’s operations and its telecommunications business in Myanmar under the Mytel brand. Viettel Group Chairman and CEO Lt. Gen. Tao Duc Thang said the company will continue expanding cooperation with Mytel, especially in digital technology and telecommunications. The President said Myanmar will continue supporting the development of telecommunications, digital technology and investment in technology zones.
