MOSA Team wins 2026 National Judo Championship

The Ministry of Sports Affairs team won the 2026 National Judo Championship Trophy, securing 8 gold and 5 silver medals, for a total of 13 medals, at the tournament held in Nay Pyi Taw on September 12. The Myanmar Judo Federation organized the championship at Sports Hall C of Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex, featuring men’s and women’s individual competitions and Kata events. The Ministry of Home Affairs team finished second with 5 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals, while Kachin State finished third with 1 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals. Athletes competed in various weight categories, along with Nage-No-Kata and Ju-No-Kata events. The Best Male Athlete Award went to Saw Myat Than Zin of the Ministry of Home Affairs team, while the Best Female Athlete Award went to Pyae Sone Aung of the Ministry of Sports Affairs team. Championship trophies, medals, prizes and cash awards were presented to the winning teams and athletes at the closing ceremony.
