US Investor Delegation Explores Cambodia's Investment Climate, Incentives, and Opportunities

On the afternoon of September 7, 2026, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), through the facilitation of the American Cambodia Business Chamber (ACBC), hosted a meeting with an investor delegation from the United States. The meeting included Mr. Suon Sophoal, Deputy Secretary-General of the CDC's Investment Committee, and his colleagues, who provided detailed insights into Cambodia's investment environment, incentive policies, and investment opportunities. Mr. Sophoal extended a warm welcome to the delegation for their business visit to Cambodia. He highlighted the favorable investment climate under the Law on Investment of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which establishes an open legal framework across most sectors. He also emphasized the package of tax incentives and the one-stop service mechanism designed to streamline the investment process effectively. Furthermore, he informed the delegation about the dynamic young workforce and potential sectors such as logistics, agro-industry, automotive and electronics, and green energy. He also touched upon the investment maintenance mechanisms aimed at alleviating investors' concerns. In response, the delegation expressed their gratitude for the meeting and the detailed information provided. They highly praised the rapid infrastructure development in Cambodia and the ease of doing business and investing in the country. The delegation also indicated their potential to facilitate the organization of a trade mission to Cambodia in collaboration with relevant institutions in the state of Virginia, as well as cooperation in maximizing the attraction of American investors to Cambodia.
