Cambodian Students Receive High Praise from Japanese Companies in Beauty Training

Cambodian students undergoing vocational training in the beauty sector have garnered significant praise and positive feedback from Japan's Shiseido and its partners, highlighting the success of collaborative training initiatives. This was reported during a meeting on the afternoon of September 11, 2026, where Mr. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, held discussions with Mr. Takahashi Fumiaki, President of the Cambodia-Japan Association (JCA). The meeting served as a platform to share the progress of the Japanese language training project, aligned with the Minister's recommendations, and to exchange views on the advancement of the beauty consultant training program at the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (NIEI). Minister Heng Sour warmly welcomed Mr. Takahashi Fumiaki and his delegation, expressing high regard for the progress in cooperation between Cambodia and the JCA, particularly with the Ministry of Labour. He noted that the meeting provided a new opportunity to exchange perspectives and best practices to deepen collaboration in human resource development and further stimulate Japanese investment in Cambodia. The Minister expressed his delight that Cambodian students from NIEI were recently selected to study in Japan with Shiseido. The Japanese side reported that the project is progressing exceptionally well, with Cambodian students receiving commendations and positive evaluations from Shiseido and its Japanese partners for their skills and professional conduct. The students have been awarded certificates from Shiseido's headquarters, which are considered a crucial foundation for developing training systems in Cambodia in the future. Shiseido has expressed strong interest and high regard for the capabilities of Cambodian trainees and is willing to continue accepting more Cambodian students. Minister Heng Sour expressed his hope that Cambodia can develop its beauty services sector to meet domestic demand. He pledged to continue strengthening and expanding this bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations. In response, Mr. Takahashi Fumiaki conveyed his gratitude to the Minister for the fruitful discussions. He affirmed the JCA's commitment to its work priorities, including reinforcing cooperation with Cambodia, especially in vocational and technical training related to beauty care, cosmetics, and auto maintenance. He also reiterated the commitment to further expand collaboration with the Ministry of Labour.
