Kampong Speu Governor Visits Children with Dengue Fever, Donates to 134 Patients

Kampong Speu Governor, Dr. Cham Chanthoeun, and his wife, Ms. Meng Vandanin, along with committee members and heads of provincial departments, visited the Kampong Speu Provincial Referral Hospital to offer solace and support to 134 children being treated for dengue fever. During the visit, Dr. Cham Chanthoeun conveyed the profound concern and care from Madam Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, who consistently prioritizes the welfare and living conditions of citizens across the nation, ensuring no one is left behind without assistance. Dr. Cham Chanthoeun expressed his sincere gratitude and admiration for the dedication and hard work of the leadership, health officials, and especially the doctors and nurses who are diligently working day and night to save and care for patients. He encouraged the medical team to continue their efforts with full commitment, utilizing their skills and expertise to ensure the swift recovery of citizens, particularly the young children, so they can reunite with their families. Furthermore, Dr. Cham Chanthoeun urged guardians and the public to remain highly vigilant against dengue fever during this rainy season, by adhering to the Ministry of Health's guidelines. He stressed the importance of maintaining clean living conditions, consuming safe drinking water, and collectively eliminating mosquito breeding sites promptly. On this occasion, the Kampong Speu Provincial Red Cross Branch provided a donation of 50,000 riels to each of the 134 children recovering from dengue fever, to help alleviate their families' financial burdens.
