Senator Escudero Proposes 5-Year Term Extension for Barangay, SK Officials

Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero on Thursday filed a Senate bill seeking to extend the terms of barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan (SK) officials from three to five years. If enacted, the measure will also move the next barangay and SK elections from November 2026 to November 2028, and every five years thereafter.
