In order to enhance sports standard of Bago Region, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports Affairs U Ye Myint Tun, accompanied by concerned officials, made inspection at sports grounds and stadiums within the region on Friday. During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed on cleaning and systematic maintenance measures to ensure the long-term resilience of the facilities. He also encouraged on public sports activities and assured to provide requisite sports equipment. At Bago Region Sports and Physical Education Department, the Union Minister met with the officials and staff, urged for the growth of Myanmar’s Sports sector and emergence of new generation athletes, as well as continuous celebrations of school sports competitions with the concerted efforts of relevant departments. The Union Minister also encouraged the small-scale vegetable plantations at staff housings and provided basic foodstuff.
