Cambodia Showcases at China-ASEAN Expo, Featuring 80 Booths to Boost Trade and Investment
Cambodia's Minister of Commerce attended the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, featuring 80 booths showcasing Cambodian agricultural products, industrial goods, and tourism services. The expo, aimed at deepening the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, serves as a platform to strengthen economic cooperation between the two regions.
Her Excellency Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce of Cambodia, and Chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee to Organize and Participate in World Expos and International Trade Fairs, led the Cambodian delegation to attend the opening ceremony of the "23rd China-ASEAN Expo" on September 17, 2026. The event was attended by H.E. Ding Xuexiang, Deputy Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, along with senior representatives from ASEAN member states, the ASEAN Secretariat, and key private sector leaders. Following the opening ceremony, H.E. Cham Nimul led the Cambodian delegation and presided over the inauguration of Cambodia's commercial exhibition booth at the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo. This exhibition was held in Zone D of the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangxi Province, People's Republic of China. On this occasion, the Ministry of Commerce, on behalf of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Organizing and Participating in World Expos and International Trade Fairs, facilitated and organized 80 commercial exhibition booths. A total of 50 participants, including Cambodian ministries, associations, companies, and enterprises, showcased Cambodia's potential products, agricultural products, industrial products, silk products, jewelry, and investment and tourism services. The Ministry of Commerce also arranged a "Common House" to display Geographical Indication products and other Cambodian potential products. The "23rd China-ASEAN Expo" is being held from September 17-21, 2026, under the theme "Regional Opportunities of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0: A Better Life," at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. The China-ASEAN Expo is a major annual international trade event initiated in 2004. Its objective is to maximize the benefits derived from the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement and to strengthen economic cooperation, investment, trade, and cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN member states. The expo features exhibitions of agricultural products, technology, industrial goods, and consumer goods, as well as business-to-business (B2B) meetings and ministerial-level conferences.
