Southern Vietnam Heatwave to Ease from May 2: Warnings Issued for Power Demand and Health Risks

The widespread heatwave across Southern Vietnam is expected to ease from May 2. However, high temperatures, particularly in the Southeastern region, are forecast to persist, with highs typically between 35-36 degrees Celsius and exceeding 36 degrees Celsius in some areas. Warnings have been issued regarding increased risks of fires in residential areas due to rising electricity demand caused by high temperatures and low humidity, as well as the risk of dehydration.
