Cambodia's Central Bank Governor Receives A- Rating from Global Finance

Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, has been awarded an A- rating by the international financial magazine Global Finance in its 2026 rankings for central bank governors. This marks the third consecutive year of high recognition for her effective leadership of the central bank. Governor Chea Serey is listed among central bank governors from countries with advanced financial systems. Notable peers in this ranking include Mr. Martin Schlegel, Governor of the Swiss National Bank; Mr. Khaled Mohamed Balama Al Tameemi, Governor of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); and Mr. Eli Remolona, Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Global Finance has published its annual list of distinguished central bank leaders since 1994. The rankings assess the performance of central bank governors from approximately 100 countries worldwide, with a particular focus on their implementation of monetary policy to maintain exchange rate stability and support sustainable economic growth.
