PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said that they will provide assistance to the family of the slain police officer. "We will provide assistance to the family of our fallen comrade," Fajardo said. Fajardo said that Macuha was killed during a follow-up operation against a robbery suspect when the suspect shot him. "The suspect shot him while they were in the middle of an operation," Fajardo said. Macuha was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
