It is known that on June 30, a fierce confrontation occurred between the terrorist military and resistance forces near Lankwa village on the Katha-Naba road section in Katha Township. During this battle, a couple of vendors from Naya Khong village, Naba village group, Indaw Township, who were traveling along the Katha-Naba road, were caught in the crossfire and killed by artillery shells fired by the terrorist military. Due to the terrorist military's artillery shelling, the wife died on the spot, while the husband sustained severe injuries and was sent to Katha Hospital for treatment, where he died on July 2. "On June 30, a battle broke out near Lankwa village on the Katha-Naba road, and the couple was caught and killed by artillery shells. The wife died on the spot. The husband was injured and died yesterday while receiving treatment at Katha Hospital. They were transporting blankets and clothes by motorcycle from Namkham and Muse in northern Shan State to sell in the Indaw area, and they were likely going to buy goods. They were hit by artillery shells and died there. The current fighting situation is that battles are ongoing these days on the Katha-Naba road section and along the Indaw-Meza road. We want to tell travelers to be careful and not to force their way through just because the road is open, and that it is not yet suitable for travel for their own safety," said an official from Indaw Revolution-IR. It is known that on June 28, the terrorist military's Infantry Regiment 264 fired one 120mm artillery shell, which landed and exploded in Alay Kyun village, Kyaukkyi Township, damaging one civilian house. Furthermore, on June 27, the terrorist military's Infantry Regiment 264 fired two 120mm artillery shells, which landed and exploded in Letan village, damaging one school in the village.
