A devastating early-morning crash inside a peaceful residential community in Nonthaburi left three women dead after a drunk driver collided with a local tuk-tuk. Police have pressed multiple criminal charges against the 31-year-old luxury car driver following the fatal incident. Police identified the suspect as Yosthorn, a 31-year-old man who was driving a luxury BMW sedan while heavily intoxicated. His vehicle slammed directly into a small motorized tuk-tuk carrying three residents. The severe impact resulted in the immediate deaths of all three occupants inside the three-wheeled vehicle. Investigators identified the victims as 37-year-old tuk-tuk driver Pratumporn Prasertkantrong, along with her two elderly passengers, 82-year-old Lamai Utchamakornlak and 77-year-old Phat Sae-Ngo. According to reporting by Thairath News, the sudden loss has deeply shaken the tight-knit residential neighborhood. Police Captain Nipon Polsawat from the Bang Bua Thong Police Station confirmed that officers interrogated the suspect shortly after the incident. Authorities officially charged Yosthorn with drunk driving, reckless driving causing death, and causing damage to private property. Investigators also addressed widespread public confusion regarding potential charges against the deceased tuk-tuk driver. The suspect and his family members attended the cremation ceremony to offer formal apologies to the grieving relatives.
