A tragic hit-and-run accident in Chiang Rai has left a young father and delivery rider dead. More than a month later, local authorities are still searching for the driver responsible. According to police, the victim was an ambitious 33-year-old worker who relocated to be close to his family. The victim, Mr. Korakot Duangsuwan, was driving his motorcycle home after a long shift. He stayed strictly in the left lane to ensure his safety on the road. Without warning, a speeding gray pickup truck struck the back of his motorcycle with immense force. The collision dragged the motorcycle along the pavement, creating bright sparks in the dark. Instead of stopping to render aid, the driver accelerated and vanished into the night. Rescue workers rushed the severely injured rider to Chiang Rai Prachanukroh Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Unfortunately, his internal injuries were too severe, and he passed away later that same morning. His family subsequently filed a formal complaint at the Ban Du Police Station. Surveillance cameras captured brief glimpses of a gray pickup truck near a major intersection in the province. However, the license plate remains unreadable due to poor lighting and distance. Investigators continue to analyze available security footage to track down the fleeing vehicle. The victim’s younger sister spoke to reporters about the devastating impact of the sudden loss.
