79th Martyrs’ Day commemoration ceremony held in Australia

Photo News – CRPH/NUG Support Group. (July 19) Mizzima. The 79th Martyrs’ Day commemoration ceremony was held in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, organized by the CRPH/NUG Support Group – NSW. Local Members of Parliament (MPs), Senators, Mayors, special guests, Myanmar families in Sydney, and revolutionary forces attended the ceremony, it was learned. During the ceremony, tributes were paid to the nine martyrs who fell on July 19, 1947, and respect was also paid to those who sacrificed their lives for independence, democracy, and human dignity, as well as those who made sacrifices of their limbs. Attendees laid wreaths and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the martyrs’ leaders and those who died during the revolutionary period, and also expressed their determination to continue standing for the democracy and independence of the people of Myanmar. The CRPH/NUG Support Group – NSW stated that Martyrs’ Day is not only a day to commemorate and honor Myanmar’s history of independence but also an important day that reminds us of the sacrifices and dedications of those fighting for freedom and justice in today’s Spring Revolution.
