Lost ID cards in floods being reissued

In townships in Ayeyarwady Region that experienced floods, lost National Registration Cards and household lists are being reissued, according to Union Minister U Myint Kyi of the Ministry of Immigration and Population. Flooding occurred in Laymyatna, Hinthada, Yeji, Kyonpyaw, Kyaukkon, and Danubyu townships in Ayeyarwady Region. Since the time of the floods, immigration and population officials from respective township offices have been going to the field at the relief camps to reissue lost National Registration Cards and household lists, it was stated. Union Minister U Myint Kyi urged the flood-affected public to come to the respective flood relief camps to have their lost household lists and National Registration Cards reissued. Furthermore, it was stated that those who have not yet obtained UID cards are also being processed simultaneously during these operations. Union Minister U Myint Kyi visited the flood relief camps in Laymyatna, Kyonpyaw, and Yeji townships in Ayeyarwady Region on September 7th to observe and encourage the work of issuing National Registration Cards and UID. Following that, it was reported that rice bags and donations were also handed over to the relevant officials for the flood-affected public.
